What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a distinct system of primary health care that addresses the root cause of illness or disease and promotes health and healing using natural therapies. The primary goal of naturopathic treatment is to address the cause of the illness rather than simply treating or suppressing symptoms.
How does Naturopathy work?
Whilst, Naturopaths helps to alleviate specific symptoms, the primary concern is with addressing the root cause of an illness: the focus is more on the why of a disease than the what. Practitioners look at the body's natural ability to heal itself and work with the healing power of nature. Treatment modalities may include clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathic medicine, physical treatments, vitamins, minerals, flower essences. Practitioners also focus on educating patients and empowering them about their health care choices which can include diet, lifestyle.
